Together we soar

I had the opportunity to lead the creative direction for EL Education’s national conference, a gathering of amazing educators from around the country.

From brand ideation through asset build out, this project encompassed a large scope of work and wouldn’t have been possible without a large team of dedicated creative professionals.

Our brand began with a butterfly. Not just any butterfly, but the star of “Austin’s Butterfly,” one of EL Education’s most widely viewed and beloved educational resources. We envisioned the conference as a gathering, or kaleidoscope, of butterflies, and all visual elements flowed from there.

This branding showed up in digital spaces including social, email, and on-site app, kiosks, and LCD reader boards; on stage in the form of lighting design, slides and motion graphics, and custom cut butterfly gobos; in physical applications including large format vinyl graphics, freestanding signage, and swag, down to a butterfly lapel pin for every attendee to proudly wear and become part of the kaleidoscope of butterflies.
